I'm really happy to be hosting my first giveaway! I watched Julie & Julia this weekend and couldn't help but notice some similarities with myself and Julie & Julia. No, I'm no Julia Child but like Julia, I'm an American taken with French culture and like Julie, I'm going to turn 30 this year, just started a blog and have been trying to grow as a cook. So, I thought that an appropriate giveaway would be the Julie & Julia DVD and book. (1) lucky reader will win a copy of each. Giveaway ends 11:59 EST January 28, 2010. Did Someone Say, "Easy"?

I think an appropriate first giveaway post for a blog entitled Mama Needs a New Pair of Shoes would be about a giveaway for a pair of shoes. Here it goes...
The shoes are by Reebok and you may have noticed the commercials on tv recently claiming to work out your thighs and butt. Something tells me that the model in the commercial already had a tight butt and thighs before ever donning a pair of EasyTones but, I'm keeping an open mind. I have been checking these shoes out hardcore and waiting for my local shoe store to get a pair. Turns out they won't be getting them in store anytime soon. I really want to try a pair on! Thrift & Chic Mom is giving away a pair of EasyTones HERE! This is one contest that I entered immediately. I want to win! Don't you?
